童世明，字：武陵居士，号：武陵山居。湖南湘西花垣县人，自幼爱好书、画。早年毕业于湖南省怀化学院美术系，先后入中央工艺美术学院（现清华美院）、北京荣宝斋画院，进修中国山水画。师从我国著名画家张仃、李燕和程大利先生。入职怀化市文化馆从艺近40年，现已退休。

现为北京中国新武陵山水艺术书画创作院院长、中国民间文艺家协会会员、香港中国书法家协会会员、香港《凤凰新闻》特聘终身艺术顾问、中国服务贸易协会国际交流委员会理事、湖南省美术家协会第五、六届理事、湘西州人民政府特骋文化顾问、怀化市文化智库专家、怀化市文艺创作评委、北京中国书画艺术研究院画家。国家钓鱼台国宾馆，国家外文出版局，上海中闵集团，湖南湘绣集团，广州市名人名家美术馆，广东省画院美术馆，中法文化交流中心，中法文化交流大使,法国巴黎华侨华人协会签约画家。

早年创作《边城人家》曾获文化部颁发的美术群星奖，以及荣获怀化市人民政府文化艺术成就贡献奖，联合国教科文组织颁发的国际艺术巴黎联创联展佳作杰出奖。

近年创作新作《高铁进苗寨》被中国国家博物馆收藏，作品《丹霞峰峦映秋林》入展中国美协全国展。《武陵春山图》《苗乡映秋》《湘西四季》《湘西秋韵》《武陵春山新》及《湘西四季》四条屏等多件精品先后被北京市政府长城博物馆、湖南省美术馆、深圳市文化馆及湘绣集团、上海中闵集团收藏；近年数百件武陵山水作品先后被海内外相关政府机关、高铁站以及个人艺术玩家收藏，多件山水画精品入编国内各艺术名录典藏。

出版有个人专集、画册多部。近几年，先后创作数千件独具武陵山水特色的精品画作，分别在北京、济南、昆明、长沙、怀化、重庆、广州、深圳粤、港、澳大湾区及吉首市进行了个展、巡展。2018年9月，受中法文化交流中心等外事部门之邀请，携多件武陵山水画精品赴法国参加“水墨中国-中欧水墨名家赴法联展”文化交流活动，并赴法国、比利时、瑞士、瑞典、意大利和德国进行艺术访问和采风写生活动。

中央电视台、中央人民广播电台、中国广播网、人民网、中国书画网、江西电视台、江西教育电视台、南昌电视台、江西日报、江南都市报，曾先后为本人作了专题报道，2010年中国邮政总局发行了本人的虎年纪念邮票一套。2017年发行了纪念井冈山革命根据地创建90周年邮票一套。

 Tong Shiming, courtesy name: Wuling Jushi, alias: Wuling Mountain Residence. I am from Huayuan County, Xiangxi, Hunan. I have loved reading and painting since childhood. Graduated from the Department of Fine Arts at Huaihua University in Hunan Province in his early years, he successively studied Chinese landscape painting at the Central Academy of Arts and Crafts (now Tsinghua Academy of Fine Arts) and Beijing Rongbaozhai Painting Academy. Studied under famous Chinese painters Zhang Ding, Li Yan, and Mr. Cheng Dali. I have been working in the Huaihua Cultural Center for nearly 40 years and have now retired.

I am currently the President of the Beijing China New Wuling Landscape Art Calligraphy and Painting Creation Institute, a member of the China Folk Literature and Art Association, a member of the Hong Kong Chinese Calligraphers Association, a specially appointed lifelong art consultant for Phoenix News in Hong Kong, a member of the International Exchange Committee of the China Service Trade Association, a member of the 5th and 6th Hunan Artists Association, a cultural consultant for the People's Government of Xiangxi Prefecture, an expert at the Huaihua Cultural Think Tank, a judge of literary and artistic creation in Huaihua City, and a painter at the Beijing Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Art Research Institute. National Diaoyutai State Guesthouse, State Administration of Foreign Languages and Languages, Shanghai Zhongmin Group, Hunan Xiangxiu Group, Guangzhou Celebrity and Famous Art Museum, Guangdong Academy of Painting Art Museum, Sino French Cultural Exchange Center, Ambassador for Sino French Cultural Exchange, and contracted painter for the Paris Overseas Chinese Association in France.

In his early years, his creation of "A Home in a Border Town" was awarded the Fine Arts Star Award by the Ministry of Culture, as well as the Cultural and Artistic Achievement Contribution Award by the People's Government of Huaihua City, and the Outstanding Work Award at the International Art Paris Joint Exhibition by UNESCO.

In recent years, his newly created work "High speed Rail Entering Miao Village" has been collected by the National Museum of China, and his work "Danxia Peak Reflects Autumn Forest" has been exhibited at the National Exhibition of the China Artists Association. The four screens of "Spring Mountain in Wuling", "Autumn in Miao Township", "Four Seasons in Xiangxi", "Autumn Rhyme in Xiangxi", "New Spring Mountain in Wuling", and "Four Seasons in Xiangxi" have been collected by the Great Wall Museum of the Beijing Municipal Government, Hunan Provincial Art Museum, Shenzhen Cultural Museum, Xiangxiu Group, and Shanghai Zhongmin Collection; In recent years, hundreds of Wuling landscape paintings have been collected by relevant government agencies, high-speed rail stations, and individual art players at home and abroad. Multiple exquisite landscape paintings have been included in various art catalogs and collections in China.

Published multiple personal albums and picture albums. In recent years, thousands of exquisite paintings with unique Wuling landscape characteristics have been created, and solo exhibitions and tours have been held in Beijing, Jinan, Kunming, Changsha, Huaihua, Chongqing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao Greater Bay Area, and Jishou City. In September 2018, at the invitation of the Sino French Cultural Exchange Center and other foreign affairs departments, I brought multiple exquisite Wuling landscape paintings to France to participate in the "Ink China China China Europe Ink Famous Artists to France Joint Exhibition" cultural exchange activity. I also visited France, Belgium, Switzerland, Sweden, Italy, and Germany for artistic visits and sketching activities.
