硕士研究生毕业后做过教师、省属国企高管、公务员和湖南省农科院工作。

1995年获中国饲料工业协会论文三等奖。

1999年获中国生产力学会科技成果生产力转化评价证书(A30376)。

2002年论文入选《中国当代思想宝库》，获中国经济出版社优秀著作证书。

2003年《直面入世挑战 加快完善国企法人治理结构》获《中国国情报告》编辑委员会论文一等奖(国情证字[0034]号)。

2003年获中国管理科学研究院中国新时期人文科学成果一等奖。
